Shell of the old fire gutted Provo Mormon Tabernacle undergoing re-purposing to convert it to the Provo Town Center Mormon Temple. The concrete reinforced shell of the 68 million pound Tabernacle sits 40 feet in the air supported by 146 steel pillars as workers construct a new foundation and basement under it. Work to pour the new foundation began April 18, 2013. Though the Mormon Church has not set an official completion date, it is anticipated that the rebuild will be completed sometime in 2015.
